Students take part in Truth and Reconciliation ceremonies

Students across Nova Scotia wore orange today.

Schools are hosting Orange Shirt Day today, as National Truth and Reconciliation Day approaches.

Wearing the shirt embodies the ‘Every Child Matters’ movement.

It recognizes residential school survivors and those that didn’t make it home.

Assemblies and events happened throughout the province.

There will be no school for students on Monday.
