Stunting ticket issued on Hwy. 103, car clocked going 171 km/h

Lunenburg District RCMP are reminding travelers on Highway 103 to slow down after they issued a stunting ticket on Thursday to a driver traveling at a reckless speed.

They say officers on patrol clocked a vehicle going 171 km/h in a 100 km/h zone, just outside of Port Maitland on Highway 103.

The driver, a 25-year-old Halifax man was issued a stunting ticket which carries a fine of $2,422.50, along with an immediate 7-day suspension of the driver’s license.

The vehicle was also towed from the scene.

With the weather getting nicer the RCMP say they will be out on the roads all summer long ensuring drivers follow the rules of the road.
