Support comes pouring in after wheels stolen off fire truck

Volunteers with a small fire department say they’re grateful for the an outpouring of support from across the province after the wheels were stolen off their medical support truck.

RCMP released a notice looking for information on the theft from the East River Valley Fire Department Wednesday.

They say a fully decaled 2010 Ford Expedition SUV was left up on blocks after all four tires were taken.

A statement from a department spokesperson says they’ve been given a set of tires and rims, money to buy lock nuts and even a security camera.

They say all the volunteers are overwhelmed by the support.
