Tatamagouche man dies in head-on collision with tractor trailer

A 38-year-old man from Tatamagouche, N.S., died in a head-on collision with a tractor trailer on Thursday.

At about 10 a.m., a Pontiac Vibe and a tractor trailer were travelling in opposite directions on Highway 4 in Wentworth when they hit head-on.

The driver of the Pontiac was the only person in the vehicle. He died at the scene, according to a news release from RCMP.

The driver and only person in the tractor trailer, a 61-year-old Dartmouth man, suffered minor injuries.

A collision reconstructionist visited the scene of the crash, police say, and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service is helping with the ongoing investigation.
