Teen boy dead after motorcycle crash in Dartmouth

A 16-year-old boy is dead after a crash in Dartmouth.

Halifax police say the collision was between a motorcycle and a car around 8:40 p.m., Wednesday, on Main Street near Ridgecrest Drive.

The boy, the driver of the motorcycle, was taken to hospital where he pronounced dead.

Those in the car were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The area was closed for several hours, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police say their thoughts are with the family of the deceased and everyone who was affected by this incident.
