Terry Johnson returned to Bridgewater Provincial Court last week but once again not much progress was made.
Johnson is accused of intentionally hitting a man with his pickup truck near Dublin Shore on June 17.
Proceedings are set to be pushed back once again following a change in legal representation from the accused.
Johnson was previously represented by Yarmouth-based lawyer Alex Pink but he has replaced him with Laura McCarthy and Godfred Chongatera of Halifax.
The new legal team requested a month to familiarize themselves with the case before proceedings resume.
Judge Elizabeth Buckle agreed to the request, pushing back the preliminary hearing to December 15.
Johnson was not granted bail initially but his new legal team says they will be looking into appealing that decision.
