I’m sure many of you are thrilled that thanks to the Atlantic Bubble which goes into effect a week from tomorrow on Friday July 3rd, you’ll be able to see friends and family from other provinces. And, no doubt , businesses that rely on tourists are looking forward to having more customers this summer. And if you have a cottage at Parlee Beach NB or perhaps a favourite campground near Cavendish PEI your boring old staycation has now become a real vacation again.
I’m really not affected by the bubble, since my son and his wife and my grandkids live about 3 hours on the other side of New Brunswick in Quebec, which isn’t part of the bubble. I miss seeing my grandkids but the problems that province is facing makes me glad we’re not going to be swamped with tourists from Ontario and Quebec. I know most of the clusters of Covid in those provinces are in two locations – Brampton, Ontario and Montreal , Quebec, but it still makes me nervous about a second wave.
I’m going to be extra vigilant about all the safety protocols, especially after next Friday but maybe I am just worrying for no reason.
What do you think? Are you excited or nervous about this gradual re-opening?
