First of all, let’s clear up this stuffing dressing debate. There’s no difference in the terms. Originally stuffing was something you put inside the turkey but the term was too vulgar for the upper class who changed it to dressing. So now, you can have dressing from a turkey or from a casserole dish, and the same for stuffing.
The family recipe for stuffing/dressing has to be one of the most guarded secrets you’ll ever encounter. Everyone’s mother or grandmother or Aunt Bee seems to have had that one secret ingredient or spice that makes theirs so memorable.
