Some people might find this odd, but I store a bag of flour in my freezer.
I started out doing this after finding wheat weevils in a bag and never wanting to see them again, I found out that putting the flour in the freezer for at least four days will kill any of the weevil eggs.
Whole wheat flour goes in the freezer and stays there. So do bags of brown rice (they can go rancid because of the oils otherwise)
I know some people swear by putting potato chips in the freezer – I haven’t tried that one yet.
