Once again our Victoria Long weekend is looking a bit different this year, with us staying close to home and within our family units. We won’t be visiting our cottage this year due to it being outside our community but I still plan on making the most of it. Luckily enough, our weather is looking good.
Here are some unique ideas if you are looking for something fun to do, that follows covid protocols!!
Picnic In The Park
Why not take the family to the park with some yummy eats. We have so many wonderful parks. Pack up a blanket some food and enjoy the outdoors.
Go Biking
I did this the other weekend and had a blast. A nice bike ride and grabbed some local take out for lunch. Whether you have a road bike or prefer the trails, we have so many options. You can find a full list of trails to check out HERE!
Stay Active With An Outdoor Workout
If there is one thing we can be thankful for, it’s the fact that the internet makes things so accessible to us. So many wonderful local gyms provide at home workouts with no equipment needed. Why not head outdoors if the weather cooperates and get active.
Go Camping
Did you have plans to go camping this weekend? Well don’t let the Provincial Park closurer stop you. Why not set up the tent in the backyard. The kids will love it.
Movie Night
If the weather decides to randomly not co-operate with us, why not have a special movie night. I know we have been having a lot of them lately, but switch up the treats. Why not have a special ice cream sundae movie marathon. Even better….have a movie projector? Time to set it up.
Outdoor Games
Washer toss, Bean Bag Toss, Cards. Why not set up a fun games afternoon in the back yard. Only have a deck a cards? That’s ok. A simple google search will provide endless possibilities. Oh and you could always throw in some adult bevies. (Caps anyone?)
