The power is still out for thousands in Northeastern Nova Scotia.
Areas like New Glasgow, Antigonish and Sydney are still experiencing many outages, more than a week after Hurricane Fiona hit our province.
Nova Scotia Power says they’ve got over 1,500 crew members in the field, but some outages can take a full day to repair given the damage they’ve encountered.
Yesterday, the utility said some estimated restoration times could change.
Fiona knocked out power to over 415,000 customers on September 24th.

Most Government Offices To Re-Open:
The province says most government offices are re-opening this morning.
Many have been shutdown since Hurricane Fiona.
In a release, the provincial government says there could still be a small number of offices not able to open due to localized flooding, power outages and clean-up crews.
They say those attending court should also check the status of their matter with the courthouse.
