To The First Responders….Thank You For Everything You Do!

It’s been an emotional and scary week here on the South Shore. I’m not sure how many times I heard, “I never thought something like this would happen here”.

The relief I felt when Tobias Doucette was finally taken into custody is a feeling I won’t soon forget.

Like many of you…I have many First Responders in my life that mean the world to me. They go to work everyday, thinking nothing of the job they do, and the difference they make. It’s something that was brought to light with Covid-19 and even more so with the events that have happened in the last few months in NS.

So simply put…this note I’m writing is a simple thing I can do…to recognize those people who work everyday to help others and make a difference in our communities.

To the BPS, RCMP, EHS, Doctors, Nurses, Firefighters (many volunteer), and really the list is endless, we can not thank you enough for being there for us during some of the toughest times we have and ever will see.

To Sgt Matthew Bennett (Matty, to many) and K9 Fergus, our thoughts are with you today, and the days to come as you recover.
