Travel By Rail?

I have always really liked trains for some reason and am still upset that all the rail beds were torn up on the South Shore even though that happened way before my time! I think it’s really great rescore we’re missing and could help a lot of people if we still had them towards this end of the province!

Anyway, regardless of that trains are still pretty cool and I’ve only been on a few in my life, so recently my girlfriend and I looked into traveling via rail to visit a friend in New Brunswick. For the experience the price isn’t too bad for a round trip from Halifax but there are downsides. The big one being we would not have a car when we got there. It’s also pretty slow going, but again that is part of the experience I suppose!

Have you traveled by train? Was it worth it? Would you recommend it or do it again?
