Police are reminding residents ATV’s are not meant for the road after two men were arrested in Bridgewater.
On July 25, police arrested a 30-year-old Back Centre man after responding to a complaint of a man driving a 3-wheeler on Victoria Road, He was located on Ron Street and immediately fled from police. He was later found trying to hide the ATV on St. Phillips Street and charged for Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance and Flight from police.
On Thursday, police witnessed a 39-year-old Bridgewater man driving an ATV through a construction zone on Queen Street, before crashing through a residential fence. The driver was not injured, and was arrested and charged for Impaired Driving and Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance.
both men had their licenses suspended for seven days as their Blood Alcohol readings were double the limit.
They will both appear at the Bridgewater Justice Centre in September for plea hearings.
