Unofficial Landmarks

As the Highway 103 twinning project continues between Exit 6 and 7, it looks like we’ll soon have to say goodbye to Ol’ Blue Eyes. For years, two very large boulders on the side of the road have acted as a landmark for many commuters. I’ve always taken them as a reminder to keep my eyes on the road.

I remember when marijuana was legalized and someone repainted the eyes to look bloodshot. I often wonder who the original artist was.

What other unofficial landmarks can you think of that are still around or have disappeared?
