Environment Canada is calling for around 10 centimeters of snow for communities between Yarmouth and Chester in southern Nova Scotia.
No snowfall issues have been issued at this time with Environment Canada Meteorologist Bob Robichaud saying once the snow starts early Friday afternoon it will accumulate at a slow rate.
“We’re only expecting about the accumulation at a rate of about one to half a centimeter an hour, lasting through most of the evening and tapering off overnight,” said Robichaud.
Other parts of Nova Scotia are likely to see some snow as well as a result of the low-pressure system originating from the Great Lakes that is bringing this system of snow to Nova Scotia.
