UPDATE: Highway 3 reopens after crash

Highway 3 near Bridgewater has reopened following an early morning crash, according to police.

RCMP first posted about the crash in Dayspring on social media shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.

“Hwy 3 is expected to be closed several hours between Oakhill Rd and Leary Fraser Dr.,” said the post.

In an update posted shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday, police said the highway has reopened.

Police said the collision also caused a power outage in the area.

Nova Scotia Power reported more than 130 homes and businesses without electricity. The estimated restoration time is currently around noon on Saturday.

No other details about the crash have been released.
