The most popular gifts for Valentine’s Day (coming this Sunday) are candy and flowers.
And the most popular candy has always been the heart-shaped box of chocolates.
A close second was what we in Canada call Love Hearts, but elsewhere in the world they are called Sweet Hearts or Conversation Hearts. You know, the hard candy discs with cute lovey dovey words written on them. However, there have been shortages the last two years as a new company bought the brand and it took them awhile to retool their candy factory and gear up for Love Heart season last year.
I’m an outlier on this. As a kid I enjoyed the Love Hearts but my addiction to all things cinnamon has me craving those hard little red cinnamon hearts.
