There are a lot of things that I could be doing these days.
I was speaking with someone last night who spent the week taking everything out of her china cabinet, washing it, and putting it back. Not a small job. She admitted it has been a decade or two since she did this. I think it could have waited, but all of us seem to have time on our hands.
But what to do with that time, that’s the big question.
So I thought I might spend some time in my backyard this weekend. Outdoors. In the fresh air.
Actually, I have to spend time in the backyard because the dog has spent far to much time in the backyard without me following around and scooping things up, so that must be done. But there is something I can do while I’m out there.
I thought I might start a backyard bird list. If the sight of me with my shovel doesn’t scare them all away, there are usually a few birds around the backyard, so I thought I might try to get to know them better. Or at least try to figure out what kind of birds they are.
So that’s my goal for the weekend. Spend time in the backyard, looking for birds.
