It’s grocery day for me and I know that when I hit the store while wearing my “gator” (just a fancy mask that makes you look like a bank robber or cattle rustler) I’ll be in the minority. Other than store employees, the majority of folks will be maskless.
How did this happen? Is the lack of covid cases giving us all a false sense of security? Are some of us watching too much Fox News and showing our support for the man in charge by not wearing a mask?
Now that the borders are opening up I worry about travellers from Covid hot spots arriving, and even if they have good intentions of self-isolating for 14 days, thinking, oh, a little trip to the grocery store and liquor store to stock up won’t hurt.
I know our Chief Medical Officer Dr Strang would like to see the vast majority of us wearing non-medical masks in public. I would support the government bringing in a law that makes it mandatory to wear a mask indoors (outside of our own home).
