West Nova Fuels is building a Petro-Pass cardlock just outside Bridgewater.
The bulk plant storage facility will give the company’s fuel trucks a place to fill up and commercial gas, diesel and diesel exhaust fluid islands for customers.
Branch Manager, Bubby Jackson, says the decision to build was based on customer need.
“A need to have access to a state-of-the-art facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week for their diesel, gas and DEF needs. We also sell this as an investment in the community. We’re generating tax dollars and hiring local people.”
Construction started in May on Logan Road in Wileville by ITS Construction of Halifax with local companies helping to provide supplies.

Work is expected to be finished in September with an opening planned for October.
“People want to buy local, they want to get their fuel from a local operation and we just want to tell the community that we are local,” adds Jackson.
“We’re going to be here for a long time. We’re investing in this area and believe in this area and want to help people out.”
