Wharf Rat Rally Brings Thousands To Digby, And Millions Of Dollars

The Wharf Rat Rally made a successful return to Digby over the long weekend.

Final numbers aren’t yet in, but its estimated thousands of motorcyclists made the trip for the festival

Organizer Peter James says there was something for everyone.

“We can build on that for next year, with family activities, and the motorcycle and engine side of things. We really want to continue to grow that,” says James.

This year featured a ‘Taste of the Highland Games,’ motorcycle stunts, and lots of live entertainment on the waterfront.

James says it brings a lot to the province.

“Taxes alone, and in addition to the bottom line in Nova Scotia, we’re seeing a massive economic boost to the province, plus local businesses.”

James says they’ll begin planning the 2023 rally today.
