Lottery fever has struck the country the last week with the record breaking Lotto Max draws.
I’m sure many of you have fantasized about what you would buy if you won the main prize, or even one of the million dollar prizes.
Me? I’ve been making a list of things I wouldn’t buy.
I wouldn’t buy a new luxury car like a Lamborghini. My thrifty side wouldn’t be able to deal with it losing a chunk of it’s value when I drove it off the lot. Instead I’d look for a classic car I like that I know would go up in value every year.
No big house or mansion for me. It would have to be small enough for the two of us to take care of it without hiring landscapers, gardeners, housekeepers, cooks, etc.
I wouldn’t buy boats or horses where you are constantly spending time and money on them. Instead I’d get a cow and some chickens and maybe a couple of goats. (Return on investment)
And, finally, I would never buy another lottery ticket. Lightning may strike twice but I don’t think big lottery wins do.
