I used to be Mr Gadget with all the latest and greatest tech. But I’ve changed.
We don’t have Alexa or any other glorified hockey puck in our home. (not crazy about the internet listening in to our conversations and then trying to sell us something)
I don’t have a Ring doorbell with video cam , nor do I want one.
No LED lightbulbs controllable by our phones. Or thermostats that I can turn up or down from work.
My fridge is not smart. Nor is any other appliance. I like my appliances dumb as a doorknob, and speaking of doorknobs our doors open with keys not keycodes.
In fact, the only new tech I’ve bought this year just arrived the other day. And, in a way, I’m going backwards.
I have a huge e-book library that I usually read on my tablet, but the screen brightness has been frying my eyes. So I went old school and ordered a Kindle e-book reader with a screen that is less bright and promises not to cause eye fatigue.
But, maybe I’m missing something here. What new(er) technology do you use that you just can’t live without?
