What to expect from Nova Scotia’s political leaders on day 2 of campaigning

Nova Scotia’s main political parties kicked off their election campaigns yesterday.

PC leader Tim Houston called the snap election on Sunday after he asked lieutenant-governor Arthur Joseph LeBlanc to dissolve the legislature.

At about 10 a.m. this morning, NDP leader Claudia Chender will visit the Ocean Breeze community in Dartmouth to unveil housing plans. In the afternoon, she’ll canvass with NDP candidates in Sackville.

Liberal Party leader Zach Churchill will visit the Gateway Meat Market at about 9:30 a.m. this morning to explain how his party would make life more affordable for working families.

Tim Houston will start the day with an announcement at a building on Strawberry Hill Road in Halifax at about 10:15 a.m., and later he will campaign on the South Shore.

Voters will head to the poles on November 26.
