What To Wear?

It happens every year. I start thinking about possible Halloween costumes, then I usually just get frustrated and give up.

I don’t have any special place to go, but I keep thinking it might be nice to greet trick or treaters while dressed as something that seems to be in keeping with the spirit of the day. But it just never happens. I just can never can seem to come up with something.

I am not a person to hang out a lot in thrift stores, which could be part of the secret. If you know your way around such places you can probably find some neat things to build a costume. I, however, do not know my way around. There are those who spend weeks looking for just the right thing for a costume. And I am not one of those people.

So I went to my old friend Google for some costume ideas. They have long lists of easy do-it-yourself costumes. Or at least they say they are easy. What I found was a whole lot of costumes or ways to dress up as people I have never heard of. Or people I have heard of and would never want to be. Not even for the purposes of scaring people.

For instance, even if I had the necessary anatomical features, I would never even want to pretend to be a Kardashian. Not going to happen.

So I keep searching. There must be an easy ideas for quick costumes, but I never seem to find them.

Although I am wearing a red sweat shirt. If I stick a white, lower case M on my chest, I could be a red M&M. Although I’m not sure dressing as candy on Halloween is a good idea.
