Thanks to smartphones most of us don’t know phone numbers anymore. We don’t need to remember, once it’s in our contact list. But there are still a few phone numbers I remember thanks to commercial jingles.
Most of us of a certain age remember the number “For information, on vacation, phone the land of fun” It’s PEI and the number is:
Eight Double Zero, Five Six Five, Seven Four Two One That’s the magic number, free to everyone,
If you find yourself without a car in the city then, “If you’re a person on the go, write down this number,It’s the key to travelling quick.
It’s Casino Taxi’s number – 429-6666.
And if you needed a pizza back in the Nineties we dialed this number: “three one oh, three oh, three oh”. However by 2000 Greco changed the jingle to “three ten, thirty thirty”.
When I was seventeen, my parents changed their phone number. But, without the help of a catchy commercial jingle I still remember their original phone number 466-9566.
Do you still remember your childhood phone number? (If it hasn’t changed and is still being used by mom and dad, I don’t think that counts) And if you moved around a lot and had many different phone numbers, how about a grandparent’s number?
