We’re at the beginning of what will hopefully be just a two week lockdown in the province.
And the best way to avoid going shacky wacky is to have a plan.
If we follow all the health department guidelines I’m very optimistic we can stomp out this outbreak just like Newfoundland did back in February. Remember that?
They had a large outbreak in the eastern part of the province (think Avalon peninsula including St John’s) after months of zero or one case per day.
Suddenly in 3 days they went to 250 cases. They did a circuit breaker shutdown and it worked. We can do the same.
I’m just putting my plan together but already I have some ideas. Rather than go to the grocery store we’re going to use one of the many apps where you put in your ingredients on hand and it spits out recipes.
Even though hardware stores are open I’d rather not go into one. So I’m putting an inventory together of what supplies I have and coming up with a list of home repairs I can do without a trip to the store.
The next two days are going to be sunny and warm, so yard work is what will keep me occupied for those times.
Also we are going to do battle with the ants. Those guys are always a problem on the property and my inventory shows I still have lots of things to throw at them.
For the rainy days, I picked up a new videogame online called Solace Crafting – for a new game it looks fairly deep and I am sure I can put lots of hours into that one.
So, what’s your plan for the next two weeks?
