When to expect roads to be plowed in Nova Scotia

MLA for Richmond County Trevor Boudreau’s office has been receiving calls regarding the snow plowing of roads.

He’s posted a chart from Public Works on his Facebook page that outlines when each type of street will be serviced.

It shows 100-series and trunk highways and other high traffic roads should be cleared within 8 hours after the snow stops, while secondary routes and medium traffic roads should be cleared within 12 hours.

Local paved, including most subdivision and residential streets, and gravel roads could take up to 24 hours to clear after the snow stops.

You can call the operation centre at 1-844-696-7737, if your road has not been plowed within the amount of time listed.
