Yesterday would have been the hottest day I ever remember for the Grand Street Parade, if the Big Ex was happening like normal this year. Since it has been cancelled, we miss out on all the rides, entertainment, food, and meeting up with friends. There are also a lot of animal lovers missing out on their annual farm animal fix with the South Shore Exhibition cancelled.
Now imagine if the only “animals” you had a chance to see on show were robots. Lately engineers have been working on robotic animals to replace the living ones in zoos and theme parks. Somehow I can’t picture paying to see robot animals, but take a look at this dolphin….
Should robots replace live animals at zoos and aquariums?
Flipper may have to look for a new line of work. Speaking of that, have you ever considered that robots could replace you at your job? A futuristic idea, or is it?
Robots ‘to replace up to 20 million factory jobs’ by 2030
Hoping the robot take over doesn’t come too soon, but then again, I guess that might prevent people needing to work in 40 degrees plus temperatures, haha.
