Youth Arrested After Multiple Break and Enters

A Bridgewater youth has been arrested after allegedly breaking in to two different locations.

According to a release from the Bridgewater Police Service, on Tuesday around 7 p.m. Bridgewater Police responded to a break and enter at a home on Evergreen Road.

While at the scene, police received a call about another break and enter in progress at the Anglican Church Hall on Alexandra Avenue.

Police say a male was seen running from the property and was located by officers a short distance away.

The youth resisted arrest but was quickly subdued, taken into custody and found to be in possession of stolen items.

Bridgewater Police Service K9, Scene of Crime Officers, and General Investigation Service assisted with the overnight investigation.

Additional evidence requiring further investigation as well as additional stolen items were located.

Police added that both the home and church hall sustained significant damage.

The male youth has been release on conditions and charges are pending as the investigation continues.
