5,000 More Families To Receive Home Heating Help

Government has expanded a home heating program.

Nova Scotians can receive up to $200 to help heat their home through the Heating Assistance Rebate Program.

By upping the income thresholds from $27,000 to $29,000 for single households and from $42,000 to $44,000 for families the province hopes to provide funding to an additional 5,000 households.

Over 40,000 homes already benefit from the HARP program.

Applications can be made from now until March 18.

Paper applications can be filed at Access Nova Scotia, Community Services or MLA’s offices.
