The RCMP is warning residents of the relocation of a high risk offender to Queens County.
Last month, 53-year-old Scott Desrosiers moved to the South Brookfield area after being released from the Jamieson Community Correctional Centre in Dartmouth.
Desrosiers had just completed a sentence for sexual offences.
He originally resided in New Brunswick, but had his parole conditions changed to relocate to Queens.
Police say Desrosiers has a criminal record dating back to 1989 which includes convictions for aggravated assault, theft, forcible confinement, break and enter and uttering threats.
He is described as a white, 6’1″ and around 186 pounds with hazel eyes and neck tattoos.
The RCMP says they want the public to stay safe and aware, but is warning that any form of vigilante activity or other unreasonable conduct will not be tolerated.
