Canada ranked #1!!!!
Gallup (a global analytics and advice firm) has released its second Migrant Acceptance Index.
We scored 8.46 out of 9, making us the most accepting Country in the World to newcomers.
Part of the Index was 3 simple questions: They asked what people thought of migrants living in their country, becoming their neighbors and marrying into their families. If they thought it was a good or bad thing.
94% of people said that having them live in their country is a good thing and 95% said the same thing about them being their neighbors and 91% said marriage is a good thing.
Yay for Canadians not being jerks!!!
Iceland came in 2nd place.
