Back from the weekend before Halloween and I am starting to see some pictures of pumpkin carvings. Makes me wonder if there might have been some early Halloween celebrations during this past weekend. Maybe in an attempt to see all your friends without exceeding gathering numbers, party events have been spread out over two weekends. In the TV world, this past weekend was certainly celebrated with a Halloween focus and the spooky movies continue.
So let’s start there. If you are planning a get together for Halloween and you want to have a scary movie, what should you be looking at? Ghostbusters or Hocus Pocus, classic series like Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street, or do you need It or Saw for a good scare? The other thing to consider if you are planning an epic Halloween gathering, is food. Even though Halloween treats are sinfully delicious, you can have a great time creating snacks around Halloween. I love the finger cookies with a slice of almond for finger nails, and stuffed peppers that are carved like jack-o’-lanterns, things like that. Here are a few ideas to try out if you are creating scary snacks for Halloween.
