17 new cases, mostly in Central Zone

The Department of Health and Wellness has announced 17 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total active infections to 127.

Officials say one case is in the Northern Zone and travel related; the remaining 16, including a case announced last night from Saint Margaret’s Bay Elementary school, are in the Central Zone.

They say Nova Scotia Health Authority labs finished a total of almost 33-hundred tests yesterday and asymptomatic pop-up rapid-testing sites in Halifax and Wolfville tested 700 people, one possible case was referred for a standard test.
