A number of roadwork projects are underway around Lunenburg County.
Almost 40 road restoration projects have started this week in areas such as Chester, Bridgewater, Wileville, New Germany and others.
Some of the projects will see roads brought to either one lane or completely closed, and the province advises commuters leave early to allow for extra travel time.
A chunk of the roadwork will be completed this week, weather permitting, while many others will be complete within the next two months.
A full list of of roadways affected are as follows:
- Frank Swinamer Road, Chester Basin – from North Street to Trunk 3, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- MacCulloch Road, Bridgewater – has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Lawrence Hatt Road, Chester Basin – has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Regent Street, Chester – from Central Street to Brunswick, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Gail Avenue, Bridgewater – from Lower Branch Road to Johanne Drive, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Duke Street, Bridgewater – from Queen Street to Trunk 3, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Harold Whynot Road, Bridgewater – has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- River Lane, Pleasantville – has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Fire Hall Road, New Germany – has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Tremont Road, Chester – from King Street to Valley Road, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Union Street, Chester – from King Street to Duke Street, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Delong Lane, New Germany – from Barss Corner Road, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- William Hebb Road, Bridgewater – has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Jubilee Road, Bridgewater – from Trunk 3 to Bridgewater Town Line, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Chandler Road, Chester – has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Route 332, Riverport – from Trunk 3 to Riverport Bridge, has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Friday, Nov. 27.
- Northfield Road, Blockhouse – has alternating lane closures for paving from Monday, Sept. 21 until Thursday, Sept. 24.
