Transit users will need to find alternate ways to get around for a while longer.
The Town of Bridgewater announced Monday via Facebook both buses would remain out of service for an undetermined amount of time.
Bus 523 was taken off the road earlier this month, and bus 524 was removed on the 28th, both due to failing their regular six month safety inspection.
Pat Hirtle, Town of Bridgewater communications manager, said issues with bus 524 are mostly related to small areas of rust and rot, which will be repaired and inspected in the coming days.
Bus 523, however, faces bigger issues, but its repair hasn’t been given priority as the town’s new buses being built for them are ahead of schedule.
Hirtle says there is no hard date, but estimates the transit should only be off the road for a few more days.
