Greetings And Leavings, What Do You Say To Your Pets?

Welcome to the date that gets people referencing Star Wars, even if they were never fans of the movies. “May the Fourth Be With YOU” was first used in 1979 to congratulate a UK political win, but has since caught on and I am certain you will be hearing it today.
Thinking about that greeting got me wondering about what people say to their pets. I know you talk to your pets! How can you not?
Most times when we get home, the cat is there to greet us, it would not be polite to just walk by. So what about when you leave? What is the last thing you say to your pet when you are leaving the house?? As I left this morning I said goodbye to Tux, our cat. Kinda low key before 4am, haha. When we leave during the day there is usually a gentle reminder that he should not party too hard, or be sure to keep the fire going in the wintertime. I know he understands, Tux is a bright cat. When it comes to the barn, a general “Have a good night” works when leaving in the evening.
So am I the only one that does this? What about entertainment for your pet when you are away? Mom always left the radio on for her cat, ours sleeps too much to care, haha.
Apparently if you are entertaining a dog, the best music to use is Reggae or Soft Rock… I can’t say I really agree with that, a good dog should like Country music, haha.

Dogs ‘prefer reggae and soft rock’ to other music genres, research suggests

I find there are more and more untrusting pet owners these days. These owners claim they use cameras and monitors to ensure their fur babies are safe, but I think deep down they want to know what the critters do when they are not there.
