Fundraising efforts are underway to purchase a new X-ray machine for Roseway Hospital in Shelburne.
The Roseway Hospital Charitable Foundation has been fundraising to replace the current 22 year old analog X-ray machine with a new digital machine.
Foundation Chair, Norman Wallet said the new digital X-ray machine is much needed.
“With that we can keep our hospital modern, give our residents the best X-ray possible, and it’s good for our whole community.” He explained.
The updated machine will provide sharper images, and reduces the already low radiation rate even more.
He noted that the foundation is getting closer to their goal of approximately $650,000.
“We need $140,000 to finish this off. The last $100,000 is probably going to be a challenge to get,” said Wallet.
