Bluegrass and folk tunes will go a long way to help cancer patients who utilize the Journey Room in Bridgewater.
A benefit concert is being organized by Gary Lohnes and will feature Atlantic Canadian musician J.P Cormier.
Proceeds will help provide services and resources in the Journey Room at the South Shore Regional Hospital.
Health Services Foundation Development Officer, Alison Clements, says the third party fundraiser is a big help.
“We absolutely love when people from the community have so much passion about local health-care and wanting to give back and make a difference that they come to us with these events or fundraisers that they want to hold.”
The Journey Room was created as a space for cancer patients to reflect and find comfort.
The concert is scheduled for January 21 at the Best Western Plus in Cookville.
Clements says tickets are going fast and can be purchased at the Health Services Foundation office.
