Visitor Restrictions In Place At South Shore Regional Hospital

A nasty stomach bug is creating problems at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.

Some patients and staff have caught the illness that causes, among other things, diarrhea and vomiting.

To prevent the spread of the sickness, the Nova Scotia Health Authority is restricting visitor access to the third floor.

They say some exceptions may be made for family members of critically ill patients or those involved with patient care.

The restriction will remain in place until further notice.
