Town To Provide Update, Direction On Judicial Review

The back and forth continues between the Town of Bridgewater and South Shore Shore Regional School Board.

The town plans to discuss the ongoing judicial review and recent developments at its council meeting tonight.

The school board filed an application to appeal the December 20 court decision to move forward with a judicial review, tentatively set for March.

The board says the town filed their application late for a review and doesn’t believe they have legal standing.

However, the town feels the school board didn’t follow the school review policy in making their decision to send grade 10-12 students from Bridgewater Junior Senior High School to Park View Education Centre.

Council will provide an update to staff and direction to its legal counsel when the meeting begins at 6 p.m. at town hall.
