Nomination Process Opens for Lunenburg-Queens Business Excellence Awards

The process is open for people to nominate their favourite businesses in Lunenburg and Queens counties.

Nominations for the Business Excellence Awards will be accepted until November 30.

Six awards are up for grabs for small and large business, innovation, export, new business and hospitality.

Chairperson Shawn Allen says they need input.

“We rely on the public and also other businesses to go to www.lqbusinessawards.ca and on there, there is a tab where you can nominate someone that you feel deserves to be recognized.”

Once a business is nominated, an independent committee will choose three finalists for each category.

Allen says it’s a chance for local businesses to strut their stuff.

“Local business is really what keeps our economy moving along and they employ a lot of local people and once a year at least they get a chance to be recognized.”

The awards will be given out on March 5, 2018 at the Best Western in Cookville.
