RCMP continue to be on the lookout for a Queens County teenager.
Brooke Emily Oickle was last seen in Liverpool October 6.
The 16 year-old is approximately 5′ 3″ tall and 140 pounds with brown eyes and long black hair.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red hoodie and had a brown purse.
Staff Sergeant Derek Smith says there is indication Oickle is communicating with friends through social media but police are still concerned.
“Is this person communicating freely enough of their own volition? We don’t have reason to believe necessarily that she’s not, but without that personal contact with law enforcement or personal contact with a family member or close friend, it makes it just that much more difficult for us to be satisfied of her welfare.”
Smith says they have reached out to police agencies across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to pursue reported sightings.
Police encourage people to come forward if they have any information about her whereabouts.
They can call the Queens detachment at (902) 354-5721 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
