The Department of Environment is reducing the area included in a boil water advisory.
Homes and businesses in Chester have had to boil their water since February 4th.
The advisory remains in place between the intersection of King and Pleasant Streets to Water Lane and the bottom of South Street to the shore.
Routine testing discovered Ecoli and other bacteria after a privately owned sewer line broke on Pleasant street.
The line has since been fixed.
The department will continue to test water in the area until the advisory is lifted.
