Seedy Saturday A Success

Organizers are calling the 10th annual Seedy Saturday a success.

Around 350 people showed up to learn how to grow their own food.

Core Team Member, Jessica Carroll says even in the Nova Scotian climate it’s still possible to get a great harvest.

“The sun that we get sustains the garden enough,” she says. “You really want that afternoon sun, so it’s really just strategically placing the garden plot.”

Carroll says it’s important people know what’s in their food.

She says growing your own is the best way to be sure.

If you didn’t get a chance to stock up before planting season, a new seed library will be opening in Bridgewater this spring.
