The South Shore Regional School Board has reserved its decision on Big Tancook Island Elementary School.
Board members did not come to a concensus on Wednesday about deciding the school’s future.
The school options committee recommended keeping the school open.
Board Chair Jennifer Naugler says some members needed more time.
“We have 30 days from the time the school options committee makes their report and recommendations to the board.”
There are currently two students attending Big Tancook Elementary.
But, that’s expected to drop to one in September.
Another meeting to decide the school’s future will be held in the next two weeks.
