A former Bridgewater politician, teacher and businesswoman has died.
Kay Davis passed away this week at age 93.
She moved to Bridgewater in the 1950s and taught for 12 years at the Lunenburg Regional Vocational School.
Davis stopped teaching to start her own home services business.
She also served three terms as a member of Bridgewater Town Council before retiring in 1997.
Davis and her husband also volunteered and helped create many community organizations.
Her efforts were recognized when she was awarded the provincial volunteer award for Bridgewater in 1999.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday.
