The South Shore Major Bantam Lumberjacks opened up their playoffs with a 5-3 victory over the Bedford Barons.
Chad Meagher scored twice and Luke Woodworth had a goal and two assists.
Other goals were scored by Kiefer Huskins and Will Cook.
Game two goes next Saturday in Liverpool.
